Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Here at North East Futures UTC, we are committed to supporting all individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and ensuring they have the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive and succeed at their GCSEs. Our SEND team foster an inclusive environment where all learners, regardless of their challenges, can succeed and feel valued.

What is SEND?

SEND refers to a wide range of conditions that impact a person's ability to learn, communicate, or engage with the world around them. This can include physical, learning, sensory, or emotional challenges. Each individual with SEND has unique needs, and we work closely with students, families, and educators to provide personalized support that enables them to reach their full potential.

What can our SEND team offer your child?

Our SEND team offer a variety of services that are tailored towards the diverse needs of every individual with SEND needs, including:

Educational Support: This can include one to one support, or even personalised learning plans to help students achieve their academic goals.

Family Support: Our SEND team will give guidance and advice to help families navigating SEND-related challenges, including advocacy and connecting with local resources that can aid your childs education.

Who is in our SEND team?
